Ready-to-use prompt templates for Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini turn crypto gain/loss calculations into AI-guided conversations
cryptact, Japan’s most trusted crypto tax platform with more than 200,000 users since 2017, today published a dedicated resource page featuring AI-powered use cases and prompt templates for cryptocurrency tax filing and P&L calculation. The library supports three major AI agents: Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), and Gemini (Google). It walks users through each stage of the process, from gain/loss calculation to analysis and report generation, all through natural-language conversation.
Background
While cryptact has streamlined the upload and calculation of crypto gains and losses, much of the remaining work, such as analyzing missing data, still relied on manual effort. The complexity of crypto-specific tax rules also remained a challenge for users.
To address these challenges, cryptact launched its AI integration feature in April 2026, powered by a proprietary MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that enables AI agents to perform crypto gain/loss calculations through conversation with a user’s cryptact account. With AI agents such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini now able to connect to external services via MCP, tasks that once required manual processing, as well as gathering knowledge about tax rules, can now be accomplished with AI assistance.
What the Use Case Library Covers
Transaction History Upload
Users can ask an AI agent to upload exchange-exported files, batch-import data from multiple exchanges, or auto-generate custom import files for unsupported exchanges and services.
Resolving Invalid and Unclassified Transactions
AI-assisted identification and resolution of insufficient positions, where calculated token balances fall short of recorded trades, along with bulk DeFi transaction classification and scam-token detection and exclusion.
Analysis
Prompts that walk through average-cost gain/loss breakdowns, compare effective fee rates across exchanges, rank DeFi protocols by profit contribution, and model tax liability under different regulatory scenarios.
Automation
Scheduled tasks for recurring workflows: periodic news monitoring for held assets, automatic exchange-data syncs, and monthly portfolio report generation.
